You know that moment when your surfing through Pinterest, and you stumble upon a quote that describes your current situation perfectly? That’s exactly how I feel with the  quote “Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do!”

I’ve always had the dream of being a Journalist. I went to school and received my bachelors in Journalism but once I was out in the real world, I had no idea how I was to make this crazy dream come true.

Soon after graduating, I found a Marketing job which would keep me busy for the next two years. During those years, I never felt a passion when walking into my office. After all I wasn’t saving the world. All I was doing was making rich people richer. There’s nothing wrong with a career like that, but for me I needed to do something meaningful.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2019:  I quit my marketing job without any clue of what the future would hold, I decided to go for it. 

Being a journalist isn’t an easy task at all. It’s one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had but I wouldn’t leave for the world. Being able to meet people from all walks of life and share their stories is a pretty amazing job description. I love having the opportunity to meet so many talented people daily. I’m finally giving back to the community which gives me a sense of purpose daily.

My career as a journalist has just begun but I can already see my growth professionally. I love learning new ways to tell stories visually. Thank you for following me along on this journey, I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
