Listen to the Waves

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown” Isaiah 43:2

Just like the sea, life moves in waves. We’re either enjoying the high or crashing down. An important lesson we can learn from the ocean is that we’re always going to rise.

The hill in this picture was once buried down in the ocean floor unseen by the human eye but now it’s on earth providing the space for people to live and trees to grow.  Side note: How amazing is mother earth?Life is all about learning how to swim and when the waves inevitably come crashing at you when you least expected, its going to take everything in your power to not let yourself drown. Of course, this is much easier said then done. Hope and grit don’t come easy especially when you’re down in the dumps, but nothing worth having ever does. Learning how to swim, especially in rough waters is difficult but it’s not impossible. The best part is you don’t have to walk through deep water alone.  I love the scripture at the beginning of this post because it reminds me that even during the most heartbreaking of times, I don’t have to navigate life alone. I have my faith, family and friends who are all willing to help me sail.

and like they say “a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”

Keep swimming friends, I’m right there swimming with you. ❤
