Happy Thanksgiving! This morning, I had the pleasure of covering the Long Beach Turkey Trot for Long Beach Local News and thought I’d share some of that experience here on my blog.

The Turkey Trot is a 17-year long tradition started by Justin Rudd. The proceeds of the race benefit his non-profit Community Action Team which helps promote social well-being.

This year was unique since Los Angeles was struck with a rain storm. But rain or shine, these trotters still ran for a cause and were rewarded with pie at the completion of the race.
