Downtown Palm Springs is home to one of the best taco shops my taste buds have had the pleasure of meeting.

First off, the service at El Patron is impeccable, but it’s their tacos that keep me coming back! When I worked in Palm Springs, I came to this corner stop at least once a week.

My personal favorites are the Carnitas and Grilled Shrimp tacos.  The pulled pork is the perfect amount of spicy and the grilled shrimp is seasoned to perfection. Another element that makes their tacos stand out is their homemade yellow corn tortillas. As soon as you take your first bite, you’ll taste the soft fluffy tortilla which in my book can really make or break a taco.

and of course I always have to have una Coca Cola Mexicana when I’m eating tacos…
